Dr. Jeremy Simpson is an associate professor at Guelph University and the head of the Simpson Lab in the university’s Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences.
Dr. Simpson has a Bachelor’s degree in human biology from Guelph and a PhD in physiology from Queen’s University. He also completed a yearlong postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto before assuming his current post at Guelph.
In his personal research, Dr. Simpson uses classical physiology and proteomic techniques to study cardio-respiratory physiology, the origins and development of contractile dysfunction in the heart, and bodily regulation of skeletal muscle contraction.
