Dr. Rose McCloskey

Nurse-Scientist

Dr. Rose McCloskey is a Professor in the Department of Nursing & Health Sciences and an adjunct Associate Professor at the Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick.

Dr. McCloskey completed an undergraduate science degree at Acadia University and went on to pursue nursing at the Halifax Infirmary in Nova Scotia.  Dr. McCloskey completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of New Brunswick and a post-doctoral degree in gerontology from St. Thomas University.  She holds certification in gerontological nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association and  from the Joanna Briggs Institute of Systematic Reviews.

Dr. McCloskey’s research interests include health care transitions,  gerontology, digital health solutions for aging in place, long-term care, and nursing education.
