Jinan Rousselle is the Biobank Analyst at IMPART. She works with the surgical team at the Saint John Regional Hospital to coordinate sample collections from clinical studies, and processes and stores the samples in the Biobank for future research use. With the help of colleagues at the New Brunswick Heart Centre, Jinan is responsible for organizing a database that contains both clinical and research data for the IMPART Biobank.
Having a background in Forensic Chemistry and Biomedical Toxicology from the University of Guelph, Jinan is now working toward a Masters degree in Pharmacology at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, where she will examine the effects of sex hormones on women with heart failure.
Jinan is involved in Science communication and runs a social media page and blog titled “Science Art – A lab Journal”. She also identifies as an Arab feminist. When she is not in the lab, she enjoys contemporary dance.
