Angella Mercer

Mass Spectrometrist

Angella Mercer is a Laboratory Technician and an Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MSMS) Specialist at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick. Working collaboratively with all members of the research team, she plays a significant role in method development, creating and reporting analytical chemistry data that supports both academic and private sector research.

Angella completed a diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology from New Brunswick Community College, and then received a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of New Brunswick. Angella’s 18 years of laboratory experience (specializing in analytical chemistry with a focus on chromatography) is a asset to our research. Angella is designated a Professional Technologist (PTech) through the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT).

Recently, she has completed an extensive Metabolomics Course at NIH West Coast Metabolomics Center located at UC Davis, CA.

Angella has lived in Saint John her entire life, and is excited to be a part of the IMPART team. Outside of work she loves to travel, camp and spending time with her family and pets.
